The Door of No Return

From the 1400 to 1600, Ghana was the center of the British slave trade. Western traders loaded Africans into ships to the Americas. The Slave Castles were the center of slave trade. This pictorial book is a mindfulness walk through the slave holding cells, male and female slave entrances, dark dungeons, point of no return, and slave export gate and the passageway to the ships sailing to America. These photographs are a reminder of the past and can be used as a meditative journey bringing self-awareness, healing, peace and dignity.
